Sean T. Goguen, Attorney at Law

Sean Goguen has been in engaged in the private practice of law in Massachusetts since 1995. Prior to representing parents in Special Education disputes, he practiced law as a trial attorney in the Boston area for many years, having represented plaintiffs in personal injury cases and defendants in criminal cases before juries throughout Massachusetts. During his career he has gained deep experience in civil litigation and jury trial advocacy in the Superior Courts, District Courts and United States District Court. This experience, along with his experiences advocating for both of his own children's IEPs, has given him an edge in the field of Special Education litigation.

Attorney Goguen received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College, and earned his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School, where he was a writer and editor for the Suffolk University Law Review. His experience in jury trials and trial advocacy work has been invaluable to his more recent work in Special Needs Law.

Since 2005, Mr. Goguen's law practice has focused primarily on litigating special education disputes on behalf of disabled children and their families. He has gone the distance and won many cases before the Bureau of Special Education Appeals of Massachusetts (BSEA).
